Week 11 - Get assigned condos for duration of their stay
Babies get assigned positions -- Baby A closest to cervix and has the least space! Baby B is on my right top side. Baby C is on my left side. Babies attach and will stay right where they are the whole pregnancy. Makes it easy to track each baby!
Week 10 - Confirmed Triplets
8 weeks - We hear the heartbeats
Progress Updated - the first trimester
6 weeks!
8 weeks!
9 weeks!
12 weeks! (10 and 11 not feeling great..forgot pics -oops)

I've done most of my 1st trimester journaling in a real journal! Highlights of our first trimester - pure joy at the news and then a twist of fate brought us even more blessings than we thought! We haven't freaked out that much - mostly feel blessed. We started out with FOUR fertilized eggs -for a girl that thought she could never be pregnant, God proved me wrong! The 4th didn't make it, and I think God knew my body couldn't handle it. I have decided the 4th baby was our sweet babies guardian angel. Not many people get to "meet" their guardian angel, and ours got hand delivered with theirs right by them :)
I walked around in bliss and trying to believe it is actually true for weeks 4-6. And then week 6 came. I remember the first night I thought I could sleep for a year and just curl into a ball and puke my insides out. We had just told my mom and dad and I tried to stuff myself at Scotty's w/ a bison burger. AH! And after that, the days have been challenges. Hard to eat anything except grease and hard to find energy to last through the day. But all worth it! I tried so hard to eat healthy, and one night I gave into McDonalds and haven't looked back since. It's been a lot of burgers, fries, pizza (until I got sick on that - may be a LONG time until I eat pizza or pasta again) and lots and lots of nachos and mexican!
Scott has been the best daddy and husband. He comes to every appointment, always asks me what I need and tells me everyday I look cute and that I"m doing a good job. He is so involved at the ultrasounds and gets so excited to see our babies! When it was in question that we may have 2 instead of 3, Scott ALWAYS believed in that 3rd baby that was a little behind. He had unwavering faith for our triplets and never gave up on that baby. That is how I know he will be the best dad :)

I have felt what I'm pretty sure is movement from the babes! The first one was at 11 weeks and I was sitting in my car eating a McCallisters taco salad -- baby c side felt like a gentle scrap from the inside. Then about a week later, I was eating the SAME salad and camp baby b made the same inner scraping motion. At 12 weeks, Baby B (the crazy mover) made what felt like a serious flip. Come on Baby A, you're next!
The belly pictures are a good memory of looking back at this journey that Scott and I are experiencing. The ultrasounds are images that are just pure miracles -- literally the creation of life that we made together!

12 weeks 5 days H O T

Today I had lunch with my girlfriends and was so happy to have the energy to hang out and by myself. They all felt my belly and I got to see and feel Laura's belly too. She has really popped! It's crazy to hear that she went running this morning, stayed up until 3 am and is going to a wedding tonight -- I would DIE. Our pregnancies couldn't be different, but interesting to compare!
Everyone I tell (which I tell everyone that will listen now) doesn't believe I'm having triplets. Most of the time, it's a gasp, big eyes and they ask where they will fit in there? And then just stare at my belly in amazement. But I do love the people that are so truly excited and full of joy for the triple blessing we have! Most of these people are parents and know how much just one can make your heart explode! My heart is growing...because I already love each one of the babies so much... and maybe also because I have 3 x the amount of blood pumping..and I can tell on stairs!
I am really trying to get to my goal of 4000 calories and 200 g of protein. It's hard!! But I've been doing better with fruit and I just add smoothies or juice for calories and feel better. Taking advice from my Twins, Triplets or Quads book given to me by my multiples group, I got up at 4 am to have cereal and milk. According to the multiples guru, you can't ever have enough protein or dairy. And milk is supposed to help with getting calories, calcium and preventing nausea when you wake up.
I feel like my main purpose is to eat and rest..eat and rest. I am starting to try to enjoy it. The heat really really bothers me and strips me of all my energy right now. Right now I'm in bed naked on the computer because I literally can't cool down from being outside. Next to me is an empty box of Chick Fil A from breakfast - what has happened to me?!
I really can't last for more than a couple hours of shopping or much doing. I turn into a pumpkin and have to lay down.. Even showers are a challenge. I feel bad because I get snappy quick. Poor Scott gets the end of most of that! I go from annoyed to screaming in 5 seconds.
Some things I really like right now to eat -- I'm on to fried chicken! Cheesecake Factory has fried chicken sliders w/ pickles and mayo -- I can dream about them. Chick Fil A has a similar breakfast sandwich (not as good). I liked an everything bagel with herbed cream cheese and chicken at Patachou today and last night when I thought I was going to faint and could feel my glucose hitting the floor, I had to have a steak, mashed potatoes and of course the chicken sliders. I ordered spinach and couldn't touch it.
I'm really ready to get through this week and get the showroom open. I just am not 100% to do it all. I'm doing what I can, but wish I could do more. It's hard on me to not do it all, but this is more important. I am actually going to talk to Dr. Box about medical leave sooner than later so I can actually have a pregnancy!
It's nice to be entering the 2nd trimester. Still some scary things, but I really try to stay excited and steady, rather than worrying about things I don't have control over. The only things I can control is resting, what I'm eating, relieving stress and doing what the Dr. says. I pray my babies are feeling peaceful and growing strong! Right now there head is the size of a grape! Crazy!

the news
I've known that we are pregnant for 7 weeks and one day. By the calendar of babies and luteal months and all that stuff I
don't know about, I am 9 weeks and 4 days today. However, yesterday was the day that sticks out for me. Thursday June 17th,
2010 - the day that the fertility doctor said would be the ultrasound that shows the story -- the strong and the survived. I am shocked and grateful to say that we not only have one strong heartbeat with a a little snowman body, but THREE fluttering heartbeats with little waving arms and legs.
Seeing those moving babies has changed me forever. Those are our little babies - pieces of us! Currently as small as a grape, they already have personalities!
